280miles with a single full tank of gas
#26
I can stretch it to about 300 miles in 50/50 city/highway driving with no a/c and windows up. All highway one time, (only time I ever ran through a full tank without stopping,) I got 22.5 mpg.

Who times it perfect where they coast into the gas station bone-dry to fill the tank exactly to its capacity?
I think I've driven with the needle below E quite a few times and never got over 15 gallons in (and I rock the car to burp the tank as I'm filling and squeeze in as much as I can).

I got 1800 miles on one tank...no kidding! Had it shipped on a car carrier from Ca to midwest...
And by the way, what is all this mileage talk based on "per tank?" Has our education system really deteriorated to the point that long division is beyond us?

Even with warming it up for 10 minutes every morning I am still getting 18+ MPG. My last tank got 250 miles on it and I am dissapointed. I ussualy get 280 to 320 per tank. But the extra warm up is sucking it down. Even when I drive her hard I still get 20 MPG in the summer. This is mostly driving to work and back.......6 miles in town and 11 miles highway. If its all highway doing 80 I get 23 MPG

Just to stay on topic...my light has come on twice in pure highway driving, right at 300 miles, and each time it took 13 gallons to fill. Last night it popped on while I was scooting around a corner, right at 200 miles, and it took 12.4 gallons.
Clearly came on a little early because of the slosh, but did not go off after the corner. On other cars, if the light came on because of g-load or tilt, it would go off when back on the level. The 8's didn't.

When Zoomy's light comes on, he takes about 13 gallons. That leaves 2.9 gallons. Enough for us to go at least 45 miles (city) or 65 miles (highway) before having to call AAA.
Taj would be able to go at least 5 or 6 miles.
