I just got it Tuesday night!! I've been on Mazda's website, ever since these came out and I must have done the "build it" section 100 times. Anyway, I can't believe it- I found exactly what I was looking for, via word of mouth, 10 minutes from my house. Just a part of town I rarely ever have to drive through is all.

I have a 12 year old honda Prelude that was in need of a lot of repairs, and for the last 2 years I have been saying "I should probably get something newer..." So when the time came to really start to look for something, I knew what I wanted :p

I told myself I was going to wait 2 months and find the very best deal possible, etc. etc. and all that. Well it took me two weeks, hehe.

I thought I'd get an automatic cause it's been 10 years since I drove a stick! Plus those shifting paddles seemed damn cool. Well, I ended up finding a 6 speed, have been getting used to it and I love it more and more every time I drive it.

It's an 04, Lightning Yellow, grand touring package. It had 9900 miles on it when I got it. I got a crazy deal on it, too. I am so happy.

Crappy thing is I've hardly gotten to drive it- I kept my prelude and for the last 2 days here, the weather has said rain, snow, sleet, ****. So I have been driving the prelude when all we have are cloudy skies!! So frustrating! My yellow beast cannot stay in the garage this long, it's a disgrace.

I've had mine a month, I think I've driven it on 3 days.... What state are you in? Sounds like the weather around here. It snowed ALL day today so far since 7 AM.

that's funny, because my friends at work were like "Take it to a car show!! In a bikini, and people will be like 'oh you're the model for this car..' and then you can say 'Hell no, it IS my car!!' "

hehehe, that would be fun. ha! the last couple nights i actually took it out for a drive late, by the time i got home i was toooo exhausted (read: lazy) to download my pics of it to my computer. sad... i will have them eventually....

what am i doing still at work? if it isnt raining, i'm getting out of here to go drive it!!

What is it with women and this car?

Now, don't get me wrong, I love my 8, but the moment my wife gets behind the wheel, she is grinning ear to ear the whole time. She loves the car so much, she laughs when she hits the gas, grinning and saying "I soooooo love this car."

She's considered trading in her daily driver for another 8....I can only hope

 

I am hoping to get my 05 next Sat.

 

Sounds like the look on my wife's face when she's catching rubber on 9k rpm shifts into 2nd and 3rd : ).

i heard that, about the color i mean.... i was looking for an article or something to verify that, because the guy who told me just saw it written on some car on ebay or something. so he thought the guy selling it may have just made that up, hehe.

well this morning on my way to work my boyfriend insisted on taking pictures of me with the car... in jeans and a jacket, hehe, it was still chilly out anyway i can't download/upload them here, but i'll try to get to it this weekend. he was all wanting to show his parents the pictures, they were making fun of me for having a 12 year old car :p

(IT WAS A HONDA!!! come on, it's still reliable!!)

Easy mate, she already said she has a boyfriend :D. That is cool though, my girlfriend just doesn't get Aqua Teen and it bugs me, I think its one of funniest shows I have seen.
