3/2007 Mazda Consumer Research Panel

Did anyone else get called to participate in Mazda's consumer research development forum?

I got called today, so I guess I'll go next week somewhere in Century City/ Beverly Hills. I've been to one of these things before for BMW back when they were deciding whether to bring the 3-series wagon to the U.S. or not. And, it was actually pretty fun. They give you $100 cash, provide some light refreshments, and then ask you to evaluate a bunch of things about the car they're researching. Then afterwards, the entire group has a panel discussion where they ask questions and see what people like/ dislike about the car etc.

So, should be fun. Maybe I'll see some of you guys there?

Make sure to ask about a new 8 and why they haven't made any significant improvements to it over 4 years.

Tell them we need more power...when a Toyota Camry can out accelerate a RX-8, that is pathetic.

yah. on my am commute i noticed there is this elderly guy who owned a silver 8. but, recently, he must've traded it in for a <cough> toyota camry (new plates ), as i no longer see the 8 on his driveway anymore...

Of all cars to trade to...the Camry is such a bland family sedan. Hopefully a V6 at least.

seems like an easy $100. I'm surprised they even considered giving 8 owners the chance to participate.

I want to get onto one of those. Free money! I bet they will tell you when the Speed8 is coming!
