40th Anniversary Edition (US Version) RX8 On Display At Monterey Historics Today
#27
Thanks for the pics! I've being waiting probably a month to see the interior; I'm not wow'ed by the uninspired use of red, let alone the red is kinda brown. And now the grey looks a little green!?!? Almost like they diluted Titanium Grey with their leftover Nordic Green... The JDM 40th AE is hot; ours is quite tepid, like room temperature.
if you're in the market for an RX-8, I think this would be a nice car to have. But as Reaper said, I can't imagine anyone willing / wanting to trade their RX-8 for this POC. Having said that, I might still get one. I dunno. As dino may have confirmed for me, the "gotta have it" impression is lacking. As I said in a previous 40th AE thread, I'll think about getting one next year and then get the next AE Mazda in ten years, if it is the 233rd version of grey/silver.
As an aside, it's no wonder Mazda picked silver / grey as the anniversary color:
silver is just a shiny grey, no?
(Yes, it's an article from last year.)
Here's another interesting (even older, 2004) graphic:
