My car is almost at 60K and I would like to get some stuff replaced/changed.

So far I got the following.

-Spark Plugs/Wires
-Ignition Coils
-Cabin Filter
-Differential Fluid change
-Transmission fluid change
-Power Steering fluid change
-Radiator Flush

What else would be good on a 60K service.

I'm planning to take it to a Mazda dealer as well so I would like to know an estimate too if possible, a rough estimate is fine.

for the fluids:

get your car on a lift, for any type of work u need done, go the the mechanic can u just swap these fluids out....hand him the bag of redline fluids...and put 40 bucks in his pocket (or less if you know him )

Yeah hopefullly u didnt buy power steering fluid because our cars have electronic steering no fluid....that's a good list other than that and just do the exchanges yourself it will save u quite a bit of money for labor

Another dealer price reference point...

They'll usually charge about $100 to change the cabin air filter. The filter lists for about $35. Look up the DIY. It's maybe five minutes work, if you move slowly and savor every step.

I guess I should probably do the same. im at 65k now. Luckily i just got a new motor 10k ago so the coolant, coils, plugs and stuff are all new.. Does the tranny fluid (automatic) and rear diff fluid need changed yet?

yes it does, if you havent changed it yet mazdas service says at 60k miles so you a bit over

i would even recomend changing it more often than that, its a 40 dollar job in terms of the fluids if your buying redline. and your tranny/diff will thank you in the long run

so maybe every 30k? or year? or whatever your abuse level requires

Im going to get a quote from jiffy lube like RxDoogone suggested and see how much they will want for rear diff & tranny fluid, and the radiator flush i will take to this shop by my house, and the plugs/coils/cabin filter I will do myself.

Would it be smart getting new Spark plug wires along with the coils and new spark plugs?

I guess ill be getting on doing my diff and tranny fluid soon. I hate changing fluids, all that work time and money and you dont even go faster when your done lol

If you can get access to a lift, all the fluids are pretty easy to change. There is one spark plug that is kind of hard to reach, but if you can get the left front tire off, it is much easier. Other then that the spark plugs are pretty easy to do as well.

Ask them show you the old power steering fluid when you bring it in.
Did anyone mention rotating your tires yet?

Also, this is one car that can benifit from one of those oil flush machines. it will let you get all the dirty oil out of your oil coolers that a normal oil change cant get. Might be a good "special treat" for your car.

Yeah... but what can you do... Im a stickler for having the sealership do all my work...
$500 for the major service and $200 for the plugs + installation

Jiffy lube changed my trans/diff fluid last years. I think I paid 50 some odd bucks. I got 60,000 miles on mine and I too had an engine replaced about 10,000 miles ago.
