Mazda Miata (sorry Mazda fans)
Honda s2000 (chick with *****, so a tranny car, I guess)
Just our opinion, flame away...

I agree with most of your list, except, first, I see many more men driving Miatas and second, I can't remember seeing a single woman driving an S2000. However I've seen many guys driving S2000's with women in the passenger seat. However, a friend does not like to ride for long trips in it because she claims the ride is too bumpy and the car lack the creature comforts she likes.
I would also like to throw out some other "chick" cars for consideration:
Most of the mini-suvs, i.e. CRV, RAV4, Escape
Most of the lower priced Benz's, especially the cute little two-seaters
Honda Accord coupe, especially pre-2004 models
My 2 cents: The 8 is definitely a "male" car that has enough comfort and class that can attract and keep women to and in the passenger seat - a more civilized S2000 in this regard.

I kid, I kid.
I firmly agree with what someone else said earlier that Miata's driver base ranges from the extremely feminine male to the sports car enthusiast, with little inbetween. Strange group them Miata drivers are... =/

She's pointing out that she decided on the H2 because it had a full size spare. Sure lady, like you're going to change the tire on an H2 by yourself.

Did I cramp your style??

"...told me I drive a girls' car."
That's funny... an S2000 is much more a girls car, and I don't see the 8 at all being a girls car.
Do women look at it, absolutely they do. Is that a bad thing? No
Is it woman's car? I don't see that at all, far from it.

PS. after reading the rest of the posts, I can see the topic caused quite a stir. Nothing wrong with VERY wild women, or women who drive an 8. It's shows they have great taste. I think the classification of "chick car" has more to do with the target market that the car is aimed at, as well as what sales history shows.
The Mini, is like 50/50 in my book. I know allot of women that talk about that car non stop. I've only seen men drive it though.
As far as my definition of chick car, it's "almost" anything that's a convertible.
Personally, I'd rather look over to a convertible, and see a hottie in it, not some dude.
Chicks driving the 8, or trucks or whatever they want, is their business, not mine, and I don't have a problem with that at all, and I think it's pretty ok.
The only thing that doesn't sit well with me, for some reason, is a woman with a baseball cap on... call it a pet peeve.

a miata or a s2000 is definitly not a chick car is. i almost never see a woman driving one of them. i don't even think a mini is a chick car.
i've noticed that the new chick car is big suvs. i'd have to say that the top chick car is the h2, i don't think i've ever seen anyone other than middle age woman driving them.

Not to mention a person that can afford one of these SUVs will not change there own tire, but call a roadside assistance instead.

All I know is real mean & women drive the **** out of their car at the track. I'm not talking about the drag strip. Miatas = track cars. Minis = track cars. S2000s = track cars. 8s = luxury sedan with track potential. Don't kid yourself. A 6 speed doesn't mean anything.

The H2 comes with onstar. You don't have to change tires on them yourself. They come do it for you. Doesn't matter if you are a man or a woman.

Thread RESURRECTION \m/
Like a good forum member I went searching for a topic that fit my suitable rant before posting a new thread.
Now this is good as I have found this 2004 thread about the RX8 NOT being a Chick Car.
As it happens to now be 2010 it might just be time to re-evaluate this topic.
Start rant
I've spent all weekend working on my 2005 RX8 and well.....
<queue Air Supply>
I'm all out of love .....
The OPs first post sums up how I felt about the car since I purchased it brand new, however I never had anyone call it a chick car until this weekend.
AND THAT PERSON WAS ME!!!!
I'm looking at my completely clean car and thinking what a gutless piece of ****.
I've been following the new RX7 and RX9 thread (linky: https://www.rx8club.com/general-automotive-49/new-rx7-rx9-198213/) and all that's done is make me realize how badly I want something else, with power.
That being said ..... and I hate people that complain about fuel mileage on a sports car.
I do think the combination of shitty fuel mileage and less torque than my dead grandmother can apply to a socket driver.
Leaves that bad hangover taste you get in morning like someone **** in your mouth over night.
When I bought my RX8 I thought I could live with and enjoy the car the way it was......
Now I have finally come to realize I couldn't and it only took me a year before I had Ray putting nitrous on it.
On reflection over the past 5 years all I've done is tried to make more HP at almost any expense, and I haven't given up! Turbo is in the very foreseeable future. <stop the madness!!!>
I don't give crap about how its a drivers car and its ability to carry momentum through corners ..... stuff it!
I know I won't be suckered in to buying another gutless chick car.
That's right I said it "a chick car"
Dress it in a skirt and park it beside its sister the Miata (MX5)
The next rotary better have some goddamn ***** and stink like *** sweat or I'll be buying a 370Z which you can get for the same ball stinking *** sweating price!
end rant
Phew .. that feels better.
<flame suit engaged>

lol I was 13 when this thread was started. :P
LOL
WOW that's crazy.
The Non-stupid teenage RX-8 drivers should have their own denomination... lol With me as the head-honcho... At least I don't think I'm a stupid driver. O.o
As for the topic, I've actually thought about this because of the 'lack of power' issue. Honestly I think I would venture to say that I'm okay with it because I just love the car the way it is. Of course It would be nice to have more power but then if it did I think we would see a lot more people my age totalling their 8s...
I also totally agree with Hskr8, the 8, it's not a matter of girls' car or not, it's simply a matter of taste. And in the widespread general opinion of the forum, anyone with an 8 has exceptionally exquisite taste. ;D
