Abandon RX-7

Well guys I don’t know if you can help me out but I have been eyeing this rx7 for about a year. I have left notes on the car and knocked on all of the neighbors doors. No one knows who the car belongs to…I am in the process of applying for an abandon title from Dmv the weird thing is the car has Georgia plates but is in New York so it might be stolen it any one ever do any thing like this?

What..........steal a car and leave it in another state?

Not that I will admit to!

People do it down here after Hurricanes with boats that brake away from moorings and end up somewhere else, but that works differently.

Good Luck and let us know what happens!

If it is stolen, even with a new title, they could take it away if it's found out. Have the local police run a check on the VIN and see if there is any problems with the car. Could you be charged with Recieving Stolen Property? I don't know.

I would be doing this through DMV I'm sure they would run the VIN before they handed over the title

lol

Have you been watching news lately ? you know how fuxk up NYC cops and DMVs are ?

Some dude, he got a car from an *suppose to be police auction* of some abandon car, the dude bid and got it for 4 grand, even got a title from DMV, 2 months later they tow his car away cuz it was *stolen property* and it was returned to the original owner. The dude lost 4 grand and didnt get crap. Cuz its like a loophole in the system. Funny thing was, the car was listed as *stolen* on carfax MONTHS ago. wow, what kind of fuxking database does Police and DMV use ?

another one I just saw it on Fox last week I think, the dude's car been stolen for months, cops said they never found the car, but one day the dude past by some police compound, the car actually sits RIGHT IN THERE. He was mad pissed and called that Shame Shame Shame thing on Fox, they question the cops there they simply speechless. it was funny as hell when u saw all those donut eating fat ***** are speechless.

So u gotta be real careful.

If it's stolen, you might be able to find the owners, and pay them a small fee for it, since they obviously don't give two ***** about it. Otherwise, not much you can do for it.

Have it towed to a friendly lot for some "violators towed at owner's expense" reason. Run up a big storage tab. Sieze it for non-payment and auction it off to yourself. Problem solved.

I was thinking the same thing NY mentioned. If you think the DMV would do any kind of VIN check you're sadly mistaken. Hell, the DMV here in RI couldn't even match up a woman collecting welfare with the Posche Cayenne she had registered from her drug ring!!

Run the plates or vin # with the DMV to see if the car is stolen. If its not have it towed to your place and file a 7 surrounding state. If nothing comes back, you can claim ownership. Dont know about your state but thats how it works in LV NV.
