So I have been trying to get this car for months now and just been getting the run around no one knows really what to do... the car has racked up a couple of tickets recently and I don't want the car to be towed and auctioned off any ideas?

 

the police need to b contacted and have them run the vin and plates to see whose it is then contact that person(if it's registered to someone) then go from there ...if it's still there for some reason you just need to figure out y it's there

 

when I went there today I was told to "Make the car magicaly disappear"

oh boy. I'm not sure on that. That's funny the police told you that. Scratch the VIN off, and just say you had to do it because you wanted to lose some weight on the car? Those metal filings weigh a gram?

 

^haha yeah for real....i would get them to get a written letter saying thatyou shoud take the car and always always keep it with you then go straight to a paint shop and paint it just 2 b sure haha...if the po po said that i would say that it is yours becxause that means they can't find any name on it or a report that it is stollen...

I got these a few times, they are pretty funny lol!

they say the guy had the same first name and that is how we are related, and he wants to give me millions!!! Llast time I checked it was last name that showed relation.

Get some pictures up, I would keep on them before it gets towed!!!

 

We want pics as it sets right now, this is very interesting.

I say it is against Rotary Law to let this car be towed away and rott in an impound lot. It is your DUTY to get it towed to a location of your chosing from where you can give it a warm and loving home....you must save the rotary.

There ARE ways (that are in and of themselves not necessarily legal) to deal with any legal issues u may come across in the future, but thats up to you

 

if u cant do it legally, just rebuild it COMPLETELY. nobody asks questions about a car if youve dropped 15k on it. and then by that time its only trackable anyway, no street driving.

Odd that the police - or the neighbors - wouldn't care about a car sitting there that long.

There was a similar tale in Road and Track a while back. A guy saw a BMW 507 parked in the same spot for some time. He left a note saying he was interested in it. He got a call from the police, who had been checking into the abandoned car and found his note. Turned out it was stolen, and the owner had been paid off by the insurance company. He got in touch with the insurance company, bought it from them, and restored it.

Hope that eventually someone in authority will care, and you get a similar outcome.

A couple of vin checks later the car is not reported stolen and was in one accident in Florida in 1993 must have been when the car was brand new…Quick question does any one know how to decode the FD’S vin
