Hi everybody,
i'm ready to buy an RX-8, but i was tryng to find out if there is any difference between the model 2005 and the model 2006.
If anybody knows something about, i really would like to have an answer quickly because i can get some good discuonts on 2005 model if i get it now, but i don't care about it id the new one as some different particulars.
Also, i decided to get i in the color Velocity Red Mica, and i have heard about a new Red that is coming out, i think is called Copper Red... does anybody knows if there is a new Red that is brighter than the other one?

Well, Thank'you for the information, so basically the only changes will be on the AT and almost none for the MT.
Well, that's perfect, because i will get a manual shift RX-8 off course.
Let me ask you this, do you know if, wiht the touring package that comes with the Bose Audio System, is gonna read also Mp3 over than normal CD?

what about the rumoured 2006 1/2 update in January, any more news about that?

 

given that the sport prestige model was launched in nov 2005, it is unlikely to be so soon.

 

As of Thanksgiving 2005, I don't see any 2006 RX8's at any dealerships, either in the showrooms or on the lots. There are quite a few unsold 2005 models on the lots, however. Looks like people aren't buying them. Searches on the Internet make no mention of any 2006 RX8 model. Consumer Reports Online doesn't have one word about a 2006 RX8. Looks to me like 2005 is the last year for the RX8, and they are being discounted at $7,000 below the MSRP. I haven't seen any announcement in writing, but I can read between the lines.

Does anybody know what the facts are? Thanks.

 

theres obviously going to be a 2006 8, the have already stated the AT will be a 212HP 6 speed, no changes to the manual though.

 

agree. there is a 6-speed auto coming out, but probably launched in mid-2006.
