AC AMP - Latest Version

AC AMP - Latest Version
I contacted Mazda USA to get the part number for the latest AC Amp (third version?) so I could verify this is what my dealer service department would be putting in my new 8.
The part number for the latest A/C Amplifier is FEY2-61-540, according to a rep from Mazda USA.
I gave the number to my dealer service department. They have to order it and said it would be in within 7 days.
Can anyone verify this the latest amp? I only want then going in once to correct the problem.
Thanks,
RKM

I've been waiting for mine for three weeks now. How are you ordering it so easily? I call back every week and every week they have "backordered" status. I'm really pissed off by this "cold warm cold" air crap...at least it hasn't been too unbearable in Michigan this summer.

I had mine checked a while back. They said it was steadily blowing cold air.
I haven't exactly had any real problems with it, but there have been times that it had to run full blast, recirculate, just to keep it nicely cool inside.
Any comments? (June '03 vintage)

My AC Amp has been on back-order since late July. My dealer got the AC Amp in last week and I had it installed yesterday. It seems much colder. It still cycles but from Cold-to-cool rather than cool-to-warm. The weather hasn't been warm enough to tell if it really fixed things.
I assume because it was back-ordered, that I received the latest version of the unit. It shows as part number FEY2-61-540 on the ticket, the same as in the TSB.

My Amp finally came it Tuesday of this week and they installed it on yesterday. I totally agree w/ you, it seems colder and cycles cold to cool rather than the slight warm to cool. It has been in the mid to high eighties here so I don't know how 90+ will be with the new Amp. I'll keep you posted.

get mine installed on Monday along with new oil pan, "M" flash & rear interior quarter panel clips. Hopefully this will get me down the road for awhile.......
The dealer did offer up rental car without me inquiring first

I got mine put in today - part number FEY2-61-540 as mentioned earlier in this thread. It seems to be colder, but there is still some temperature fluctuation in the air - but not enough that I'm concerned about it. I got it done at Cush Mazda in Escondido, it took them about 2 weeks to get it ordered.
Cheers,
Simon.
