Adjustable Xenon

Got a chance to drive my girlfriend's mom's new 07 cx-7. The xenon headlights have a switch on the dash that can adjust the height of the headlights. It was really awesome and so helpfull. Why dosent the rx-8 have this? Is there anyway to do it? By the way the cx-7 is very nice. The interior is really close to the 8 design, and it drives very well.........for an suv.

Interesting Fact: New BMW's headlights turn with the wheel.

so if your making a right turn, the headlights will too.

If someone else has this the 8 might be prewired for it. All you need is the switch. Someone please say this is true.

Doesn't the RX8 in N. America have "auto-leveling headlights" as opposed to the CX7's manual?

Also, the new Lincoln MKX has the turning headlights, as does the Acura RL

The 1948 Tucker has a turning headlight (central). Not a new technology.

the headlights are autoleveling on the 8 but the cx-7 lets the driver set the level that he/she wants it to auto level to.

The idea with manual adjusting headlights on suv's is for when you are pulling a trailer or something the back drops and the front raises. It is a less expensive way than doing self adjusting. My Infiniti FX has these and I think it is stupid. When I drove up a steep hill in Georgia I had to rotate a switch to lower the lights.

The Mazda3 has switch on the dash. I adjusted mine manually. They self adjust only from the set position. Sensors are on the rear sway bar.
