Advice to potential buyer: 2008 RX8 or 2009 RX8?

Read the link I posted for you for lots of different opinions and some broad consensus around a few options.
I'm not sure what's easily available to you in your country, but many people use about 4-8 oz of Idemitsu premix per fill-up. It's specially made for rotary engines. It is also popular to add some form of lubricious cleaner and therefore a little less Idemitsu. Again, I use FP+ from LCD Inc in Texas, but that's probably not easily or cheaply available to you. Many recommend a lubricious cleaner over one that will harm your oil films so may not be good to use too much of some fuel injector cleaners that are often used on piston engines.
Premixing applies less for the '09 because of the 3rd 'injector' but, if I were you, I would still premix, probably a lower amount, maybe 3-4 oz per fill-up.

So if there are Rx8 owners here from South East Asian region who knows a distributor for Idemitsu Rotary Premix, let me know.

i drove the se3p for 2 weeks before i purchased the R3, and let me tell you. older version Fe's dont have anything on this revised model. the 4.77's take this car from a mid 15 sec car to a high 14, and also makes freeway driving a bit more relaxed due to less shifting. power is just about everywhere from 5k, and the handling...... if you liked the handling of the previous version... this one is simply brilliant! turn in can be had at just about any portion of the apex. brakes are very impressive, and the car is about 200 lbs lighter than previous models. fuel consumption is still the same, you definitely dont mind after 200+ miles of pure driving enjoyment. the recaro's hold you, the blutooth alerts you to the phone no matter how loud you have your stereo playing, or even if you have the sound system off.

One thing is for certain, Either you suck *** at driving, or there is something seriously wrong with your car. For god sakes, even my A/T Mazda 6 can beat that 1/4 mile time.

Now, if you were trapping 92-94mph and you're still in the 15's, that truly means you're driving like ****, but your car is making plenty of power. That would just be a technique problem.
What RPM are you shifting at? You aren't short shifting, are you?

Sounds like somethings wrong and your car isn't making enough power. You can tell by your trap speed. 88mph is too low. Its should be in the low 90's at least.

launched at 5-5.5 shift at 9.5k 4 gear changes = 15.7 @ 88mph for me.
launched at 4k shift at 9.5k 3rd ran out to 9.8k = 16.0 @ 88mph for me. etc.
its really hard to try to prove yourself on a forum, so i wont attempt to validate. but i do know my way around a 1320. i think i was just driving it to lightly prior to staging at the strip, due to breaking it in, and the ecu was locked in on fuel concervation instead of making the car perform. motorweek did a 14.9 (fastest time i have seen reported yet) @ 95mph. car had 6270miles on it. my car had 760 when i staged (breakin per manual is 700), and got a 15.8 @88mph. edmunds got 16 flat @ 86 with similar mileage. car and driver got 15.1 @93mph with 4000+ i think i just need to drive the car a little more, and more spirited prior to hitting the track.
