After Dealer Transmission Rebuild - Clutch Much Softer
What I mean by this is my clutch pedal used to be pretty hard to push down. I purchased the car with 16k miles on it (05) and it has always been like that. Now that I have a new clutch/flywheel and new bearings, the clutch pedal is WAY easier to push down...almost as easy as my girlfriend's 09 Mazda 6.
The questions I have today are as follows: What would cause my clutch pedal to depress much easier? (I don't mind it)
Is this how it is supposed to be? The components were all replaced with Mazda OEM stuff under warranty.
I'm not a tramission guru by any means...I just find it interesting. I expected the clutch response and grip points to be different with the new clutch, but I did not expect the clutch pedal to depress easier.

I noticed that my clutch was insanely light when I bought the car brand new. The softness eventually became stiffer. I noticed that it started getting stiffer right after my throw-out bearing was starting to make noise.

dont ask me how i know.. btw, enjoy is is a bit weird is it not?

just do some very aggressive starts and see how well it grips. I don't mean rev to 9500 and drop the pedal, but maybe 5000 with a pretty quick release. I would be more concerned with how well it actually grabs than the clutch feel.

they put in a new clutch, thats why. worn out clutches are hard to push in.
its been like that on every single car that had a used clutch and went to a new clutch that i've ever driven.
and i think its hilarious you make the connection to your gfs brand new mazda 6. cause guess what? it has a new clutch.
if you dont like it, burn the clutch for a few minutes. :P

Don't worry
The master cylinder gets bled on new installs, leaving no pressure build up in the system. Drive it for a few days and it will be still again. It is a hydraulic system, so fluid flows through it. Give it some time.
