Unhappy Ah HAIL NO!

Last night I was at my girlfriend's apartment when it started hailing, golf ball and up sized pieces were slamming the area. My poor car was out in the middle of it. My drivers side, hood, and roof got pelted. This sucks, even though she's an 04, I haven't had her a year. My poor, poor 8.

Texarkana area can be a viscous place as far as storms/hail/tornadoes go. I feel for you. I got caught south of Denver on I25 with a freak hail storm last year and as luck would have it, traffic was jammed. The frustration is unbelievable knowing you can't escape to a gas station or overpass. You just sit there and take it.

^ Yes! You'll be amazed, as paintless dent repair (PDR) can get out ALL of those dozens of tiny dings! Hail damage is a big part of their business.

I had the same thing happen to my car, call a paint less dent remover. They can do amazing things with those small dents. Took about 20 of them out of may car and you can't tell where they were....perfect. when talking to them let them know that the hood is aluminum, it is much harder to work with then steel. You will want someone experienced with aluminum.

Good Luck!

I used to work for a company called "Dent Wizard" that did PDR. look into it, youll get the car back good as new and a fraction of the cost compared to a body shop.

At that time, I would get out of the car and lay on it, in hopes the hail hits more of me....

PDR is a good service. DO IT!

I feel for you. It happened to my last car when it was brand new. I was on the highway and tried to outrun the storm, but it was moving fast, and I was able to get under partial cover at a gas station, but it wasn't enough. I ended up with over a dozen dents. I hope that paintless dent repair will be able to fix it for you.

Thanks for the recommendations on the PDR. I'll check into it in the next few days. I honestly escaped with a lot less damage than most people around here. A lot of cars and homes lost windows and took a major beating. Apparently some of the hail was softball size or bigger. Most of what tagged me was about golf ball size from what I saw.
