Why bother and why get hostile? So people know that they have something called a piston or a cylinder somewhere in the engine. Maybe they know that they have 4-6-8 of them. Most people don't know what those are either.
Years back when I got my first office, I brought some momentos of my racing cars to decorate the place. Highly cleaned and polished pieces like valves, pistons, cams etc. I can tell you that 99.9% of the women had never seen any of those things and neither had 99% of the men (even then it was just pictures).

[QUOTE=G8rboy]One of the best investments I made was in this rotary keychain that I can use to demonstrate how the rotary engine works... it makes it much easier to digest when people see it moving:
[QUOTE]
G8rboy-even the keychain people say that the fob demonstrates the Rotary engine's piston and cylinder!
"This keychain features a piston that can be rotated in the same pattern used by the real rotary engine, with the three points of the triangle piston sliding along the ‘8’ shaped cylinder wall by turning the disc underneath with a finger. As well as being a key chain, it is also an ideal educational tool to demonstrate how a rotary engine works, made of die-cast aluminum with special brass gears.

I also had some chick ask me if it was the 6 or 8. I thought she meant the Mazda 6 or RX8. I said 8. When I left I realized that she was talking about a V6 or V8. Oh well, at least I got the fast one.
