Airbag light on....
ok so after listening to what mugatu said and search, i found about 75 threads 50 which had nothing to do with the problem, and the rest was mixed. i cant find a explanation to my airbag light to be on on my car. for what i been reading, most people caused it to go on by either closin the door when the back door is open. to changing seats. to crashing the car. to flippin the car etc. i was drivin the car normal nY speed (30mph) when the light started flashing then stayed on. no the last thing i did was put some air on my rear tire about 5 mins before.aside from that nothing else. i would take it to mazda tomorrow but as most ya know i hate my service center, specially that ******* gabriel..... so thats it. i dont know what to do, its just killin me havin any type of light on my dash.

I find the airbag light especially troubling. I like my airbags to work.
Mine flashed at me then stayed on in the middle of an otherwise unremarkable drive. I didn't catch the pattern - too busy driving and didn't think of it.
Since the light stayed on there should be a stored code. I'm going to have my dealer pull the code, probably Friday (two hour drive to Rochester, yeah). I'll let you know what they say about mine.
It seems really odd to have it suddenly pop on in the middle of a drive vs. failing the start-up checks.

Anyone got their service manual at the ready? I'll be sure to note the pattern

CBD, there are numerous pages of troubleshooting routines listing numerous possible causes for a constantly-on light. Get the on-line manual, Safety section starting on p.22. There are just too many possible causes to post here. BTW, the simplest possible cause is a weak battery. And we all know about weak batteries, right?

ok people so i took my car in on tuesday for the light,(finally got time to do it), and guess what my passenger airbag was not workin. so they replaced it got a new one and bye bye light, but when i got out of the service center the low coolant light came on, i did an oil change on the car too, my question is arent they supposed to check on the fluids of the car?? when they service them? i want to take it back but it really bothers me goin there. should i add more coolant?

Check your coolant level. It could be that the tech failed to reconnect something while he was replacing the airbag. If the coolant level is low, add some. If it's low, find out why it's low. It's not unusual to lose a little bit of coolant over time due to evaporation, but if you find yourself adding coolant on a regular basis, there's a problem.
