Hi. I'm not trying to be rude, but I dont understand. What has the alarm got to do with keeping your pet in the car. Also, be careful about that because a pet's nails could easily scratch the interior, especially the chrome looking part on the armrest console.

its a guinea pig.
Have you not tested the perfect metric alarm system? If you are locked inside and you move your little finger inside the main cabin o rx8 the alarm will start test it!

why don't you just lock instead of turning the alarm on then?

Mine automatically turns the alarm on when I lock it. And I checked and I can't push the door locks on the door and then close the door. The car refuses to do so. I think it has to do with the fact that I have the transmitter instead of the other type of key.

Probably so. My 2005 will just lock (no alarm) by manually locking the doors.

I will have to try that sensor thing, iassael. Must be pretty good if a guinea pig can set it off.

yesterday i placed a bet with my mazda shop when i went there to ask that i can find it out and then i will win 300 euro in service or other parts.
you can lock it and then push within 10sec the "alarm stop button" on the key and this system is temporary deactivated.
if you can help me find where the system is placed i would be grateful...

u sure u aren't a rx-8 car thief cleverly disguising that question w/ a guinnea pig? i dunno where it is. but even if i did know, i wouldn't post it on a public forum where everyone can read. why would i want to advertise to everyone how to defeat my alarm after they break the window and get inside?
