Thats funnnnny! I was cracking up.
It's even more funny cause of what my Dealership told me. I was with my mom and I told her everythign about an RX-8 before we got to the Dealership. So I'm looking at this RX-8 and this Salesman walks up to me saying, "Interested?" And I was like, "indeed." And he said, "well this is an RX-8 and it has the best fuel economy."

Wait...WHAT!? Best Fuel Economy he says? Salesman please, you don't have to BS your way into this one to try to sell it ASAP.

People know a days

I was told by a salesman when looking for my 8 that the RX-8 had three rotors because people had had problems with the RX-7 in the mountains so Mazda added an extra rotor. wtf? I wish that was really true! I never did say anything to him about it i just let him go on talking.

You should have just kicked him in the nuts. The cops would have understood once you told them what happened.

Actually, you should have had him put it in the sales contract.

I'm surprised he didn't say that the 8 had a radial engine, like the old school airplanes.

Didnt realize that the six lined post in an online forum needed to be paragraph breaked for you. Dont worry next time i'll keep it MLA format and double spaced for your corrections.

My 8 is listed as a 4-door Sedan on my registration. I'm actually very tempted to go down and tell them I don't have a friggin Sedan... grrrr...

That actually would be really nice. I would definitely give you some forum bucks for that.

Would he meant to say 4 port or 6 port?

If so that would be an honest mistake....

Hey isn't that a good thing when it comes to insurance purposes?

instead of walking away, you should've played along and claimed you had the 4 cyl. and then ask the salesman if he can show you the new 6 cylinder rx8 in the lot. i can just imagine what that could've led to. 10 bucks says he won't even know how to take off the engine cover.

You should have said you weren't sure and asked him if he would ask the service manager for you. Then everyone else that works with him would recognize he's a tool!

Its not like insurance companys know what they are doing either. When i got my insurance they asked if it was a 4 or 6 cyl. I told them neither it was a rotary engine they had no option for that so they put my car a 4 cly 4 door sedan. guess stupidity helps keeps that price lower.

it's not just insurance companies...No one has an option for rotary engine when describing cars. Ebay doesn't have it. The vehicle registration office doesn't have it. AutoTrader doesn't have it...and the list continues. So the entire world must be stupid.

the last time i went to the dealership, i was looking at the 8's and they had a Ti with a different shade of gray for the wheels.

"where'd you get that done?" he replied with some paint shop down the road and i told him about how i painted my black.

"we've got the mazdaspeed 8 coming out pretty soon. its gonna be fast, it's turbocharged. probably around 300 hp." "oh, 'haha'" I did my fake laugh.
