Am I the only one who does this?

Some say, the WWP looks better with no spoiler, I disagree. But that doesn't mean those that hold that opinion are any "lower" in my book.

When I first got my car I used to have that mindset that people who don't modify their 8s didn't care about it, but that's really not the case. There are very few modded 8s in my immediate area, but there are quite a few owners, and I have found that once you talk to them the vast majority of them love their cars. And here's the kicker... out of about eight or so RX8 owners in Middletown (most of which I've met personally) I believe I'm the only one on this forum! Don't get me wrong this forum is a big help but just because people are not on it doesn't make them a bad RX8 owner.

To my point, that's your opinion, and I appreciate it. But, I think clear corners are fine, but I like the car like it is and feel no need to spend money to change it. If that "lowers your opinion" of me as an RX-8 owner, then fine, but I don't see whether or not the mods I have or don't have being any indication of the person who own's the car. Of course, having an AT model around here makes you an automatic outcast to begin with, so I shouldn't expect much more.

Nothing will lower my opinion on if you decide to stay stock or not. I personally love the stock look of the rx8 and agree with you about the only other body kit I prefer on our car is mazdaspeed. Just some of the other kits look too much aggressive for my taste.
I was just suggesting clear corners as it makes for such a drastic appearance change to WWP as a few other colors out there, but hey if you like the amber more power to you! I'm not here to talk down or think less of someone for their choices. We have such a unique and wonderful car that whom ever owns one gets a thumbs up from me.
But most of the time when you see a completely stock 8 you hope that they know how to take care of the car in its proper way and not one of those oblivious 8 owners who dont top off their oil or change it when its suppose to. Then they go to edmunds.com and write their personal review of how bad this car is beause they didnt bother to read the owners manual and learn about the car and its maintance. Those are the ones that give the car a bad name. So when you see a rx8 with mods such as clear corners, strakes, mazdaspeed kit. You get that feeling that they actually know at least the basics of owning a rotary or you hope... I don't get that confindence if I see an 8 with aftermarket wheels but nothing else visually, as any teenager now can pop on some rims and call it a day but yet still know nothing at the end of the night.
