Another crashed my 8 thread..=(
I was driving home about 30 minutes ago on a 45mph road going to my house, going 30-35mph and hit some black ice and and ended up in the ditch on the other side of the road. Hit the ditch goin in the 20's maybe. When I stopped I smelt a little gas but the air bags did not deploy and the engine was idling fine. Turned car off and got out. Some kind lady with her kids gave me a ride home and I went with my dad to inspect more of the damage. None of the tires are blown, all the wheels are straight, no body damage, the front bumper and front plastic strut is damaged. Also the intercooler panel or whatever on the left side is a little bent. Didn't look too bad. We checked underneath the car and it looked fine. I'll post pictures tomorrow.
From what me and my dad saw..there was only front bumper damage & that intercooler panel or w/e. Do you guys think it did a lot more damage even if it didnt do anything to the body.?
Also what's the most legit site to buy the r magic body kit?

Update:
Okay I got winched out of the ditch about 2 hours ago. We decided to check out the damages by driving it to a high school a few miles away before towing.
The good:
Luckily, because of how soft the dirt in the ditch was, my suspension is fine from what I can tell. The wheel is straight, the car doesn't veer off when I let go of the wheel and it drove, turned and braked like normal. There was a slight squeak in the left rotor but I think that's from the ice, snow, mud and weird angle the car was at in the ditch.
I will have pictures of all the damage up tomorrow.
The Bad:
-When I hit the ditch I smelt fuel. Guess it was something..I smelt fuel the whole time i was driving and I swore my gas tank lost fuel. Anyways when I was pulling into the school we saw a small trail of gas leaking out. Decided to tow it to my work at that point ( as opposed to driving it 10 miles or so there ). Me and my dad think the leak is from the gas tank being pushed up and breaking or cracking one of the lines. It obviously didn't affect the engine running, because she drove great. What do you guys think? We're hoping it's just that and not something worse with the gas tank... besides that there is no damage to any components underneath.
-Left fog light got unplugged and broken, need a new left fog light. Luckily the cable and plug are fine.
-Plastic wheel well moldings or whatever (that line the fender)
-Plastic undercarriage molding (the plastic that you take off to reach oil pan and what not)
-Front bumper
-Rear plastic molding mustve slightly bumped cuz it's very slightly detatched on the left side but not broken at all.
That is it!
Thanks for all the advice guys, and I appreciate any further input. Like I said I'll post pictures tomorrow..but yea thank you for those of you that bothered to read this thread and help me out.
Also, I'm thinking of the veilside front bumper off of vividracing.com for $680. Does anyone know how much the OEM front bumper is? Also..I wish the duraflex body parts were of better quality since I could get a duraflex front bumper for like $200 on andysautosports. I'd go this route..but I've heard a lot of bad things about these replica parts / kits and their quality / fitment. What do ya'll think? Does my automatic deserve a quality kit or is that a personal decision I'll have to make?

fo real! im beginning to think the blue was painted over the ss in an attempt to remove the curse!
But yea I did..that time was my fault. This time wasn't =/
Last time I got lucky too and ended up spending about $200. I'll probably be spending a grand or so this time. sucks =/

Purchased a factory painted Winning Blue OEM Bumper with lower lip appearance package, rotary accent & fog lights. Got it for $400. It's basically brand new, it was on the guys car for 12,000 miles. I think I got a good deal considering it comes with the fog lights and the lower lip spoiler. I'll post pictures next week when the front end is fixed & done!

I found a great mechanic.
Here's pics of my 8 almost completely fixed, with my new grill, front lip spoiler & rotary accent, fog lights (came with the bumper i got for $400 factory painted). I just need to get front & right splash guards and the under cover.
I forgot to mention I paid $276 for all the work. He charged me $100 to install the grill, fog lights & bumper and $50 for the fuel pump seal & $100 to install it. Its nice to not get ripped off.
