My goodness. Heh, this speaks enough right here...

"Rotary-powered cars, much like hybrids, basically appeal to women and some men who fear, for numerous and whatever reasons, the innate power and violence a single-cammed overhead-valved fuel-burning engine represents.

There's just too damned much thinking involved when it comes to the Otto cycle and understanding it for a small portion of the consumer market, almost unbelievably since the obviously superior technology has existed for more than a century. Experts both in the US and abroad have surmised that fans of Wankel engines, their derivatives and/or hybrids tend to be lacking in a necessary human hormone, testosterone, resulting in absurd inclination to embrace such fallacy. These same experts are currently working towards determining whether the lack of intelligence these subjects exhibit is a cause or an effect of the inexplicable tendency to accept these cars.

More to follow."

Haha, I hope he isn't joking with the message he's putting forward - it would make it even funnier :D

maybe i'm telling either my age or B-movie IQ, but I've never heard of "the warriors". I even worked at a blockbuster for 3 years, and still it's not ringin any bells.

I guess it's official...I am one pathetic loser

I don't own a Crossfire or an RX8, but both are on my short list (along with the S2000). I can appreciate strengths and weaknesses within all three cars.

"The Warriors" is a 1979 movie about New York streetgangs getting together and wanting to take over the city. The leader of the plot is killed during the meeting and the Warriors gang is faultsly accused. The movie is about them trying to get back to their home turf in Coney Island with all the other gangs out to get them.
It is not a great movie but it is enjoyable. I guess I am older than you.
edit: I just checked your profile. Yep, I'm old enought to be your dad.

I read what alot of them had to say about the RX-8,some didn't like it, some said some untasteful things about the 8, two or three current owners of GTO's who had rotary cars in the past tried to defend the rotaries and educate some of the ignorant.

All in all it wasn't too bad of a bashing.

^^alnielsen's statement about "The Warriors" would be 100% accurate, if you changed "It is not a great movie but it is enjoyable." to "It's a really crappy movie, which makes it enjoyable".
