Another NOOB! Happy new owner
Well, after much reading and contemplating, I bought my first RX8. By the way, I want to say Thank You to everyone that shares their knowledge on this website. After reading posts on here a for a few weeks I knew way more about this car than any salesmen that I met. I ended up getting an 05 GT that is pretty much loaded with everything including Nav. It has 23k miles on it and still has about 22 months of factory warranty. I had to give $16900 for it which I think was a pretty good price considering the condition, miles and options. So far I am really pleased with the car. What I have read seems to be very accurate. Terrible gas milage and a total blast to drive! In anyone has a suggestion for the best wax for black, please let me know. Thanks again for everyone that helped me without even knowing it!

Well, it's time to start modding. Here are two effective and simple mods that costs nothing:

Congrats on your BB.
As for wax, I use meguiar's NXT. If your really into keeping your 8 nice and shiny, witch you should be. Poke around the show and shine section.

Hey thanks guys! I forgot to ask... I don't have the title yet, and I'm not sure the dealership where I bought this car knew much about it. They had it listed as a GT, but I have ran a couple of the free VIN checks and it lists it as ->2005 Mazda RX8 Base / Shinka . Honestly I don't the difference between a Shinka and a GT, other than the Shinka's have some different paint options. Could mine be a Shinka and not a GT? I assume the title will tell once it arrives. I have tried to call my closest Mazda dealer to see if I need to take it in for any recalls but I can't get their freaking service dept to call me back.

Cuz NONE OF THE Shinka trim comes with Factory Navigation
Also, if its Shinka, your seats will be in parchment peach color (kinda like ivoy color)
Wonder how I know ? Take a good guess
