Basically there is a new contender, implies higher competition by economic laws. May not be to RX-8. Some people who want to buy a sports car probably will get to look at one more

dude, that is not a competition with the 8, if one of them comes and race me, I would roll down my window and tell him/her, you win, get the hell away from me

Nah if someone is looking at that car, they probably weren't looking at an 8. It's like looking at a Yaris when shopping for an 8.

hehe Im just giving you a hard time :-P

If that rolled up next to me, I would rev my engine up to 9000 to give him the impression I was going to race then watch him take off like a dbag!!

Talking in terms of economics. Every car is a competition to another car. Some are a tougher competition thats all. Suppose there was only Toyota Corolla in US. People would be buying only that. Now that there are more cars, people have more to chose from. So even a Veyron is some kind of a competition to Toyota Corolla.

In terms of lay man's language, generally cars with 10% of another car's cost is considered competition. But from a strict "economics" point of view every car is a competition to another car.

-> That makes my statement true.

Beat this!!

Well if you want to generalize fully, anything that costs money is in competition with each other. A slice of pizza is considered competition to the 8 since you're considering using money that you would use to buy a car. So I'm gonna start a pepperoni slice vs RX-8 thread.

Well, I cant disagree with you on that one. But that doesnt make my claim false
I guess the number of people who read RX-8 and GT-R would be more than number of people reading pepperoni Vs RX-8.

I like the front end of this car, but I think it falls apart behind the doors. IMO the back reminds me too much of a cobalt.

As much as I love this car, its to bad it only comes in automatic. I will prolly end up with a Corvette Z06 before the Skyline due to that.

Yeah... Driving Manual is fun. But even a ferrari comes in automatic and paddle shifters like this one?

I enjoy my 8 a bunch! It's a better fit for me compared to the 350Z...but the Skyline is the Gran-Pooh-Ba of the street. It will put "exotic car performance" at a price point that really only one other manufacturer almost achieved. Cheers to Nissan for this one!

True, but i'd prefer a manual tranny over automatic anyday. I know that even technically the Automatic 6-speed C6's are faster than my manual 6-speed C6...but I still prefer driving mine more

Well, first off its lehmans, NOT lay man's...

No matter how you try to explain it, you are wrong and look like a fool. In order for a sports car to be considered competition to another, it HAS to be comparable in performance. Period.

The GTR looks to be a beast. I cant wait to see it up close and personal.
