In terms of lay man's language, generally cars with 10% of another car's cost is considered competition. But from a strict "economics" point of view every car is a competition to another car.
-> That makes my statement true.
Beat this!!

Talking in terms of economics. Every car is a competition to another car. Some are a tougher competition thats all. Suppose there was only Toyota Corolla in US. People would be buying only that. Now that there are more cars, people have more to chose from. So even a Veyron is some kind of a competition to Toyota Corolla.

Well if you want to generalize fully, anything that costs money is in competition with each other. A slice of pizza is considered competition to the 8 since you're considering using money that you would use to buy a car. So I'm gonna start a pepperoni slice vs RX-8 thread.
I guess the number of people who read RX-8 and GT-R would be more than number of people reading pepperoni Vs RX-8.

I enjoy my 8 a bunch! It's a better fit for me compared to the 350Z...but the Skyline is the Gran-Pooh-Ba of the street. It will put "exotic car performance" at a price point that really only one other manufacturer almost achieved. Cheers to Nissan for this one!

True, but i'd prefer a manual tranny over automatic anyday. I know that even technically the Automatic 6-speed C6's are faster than my manual 6-speed C6...but I still prefer driving mine more

Yeah... Super car without a super price. Credit goes to Nissan for GT-R

Well, first off its lehmans, NOT lay man's...
No matter how you try to explain it, you are wrong and look like a fool. In order for a sports car to be considered competition to another, it HAS to be comparable in performance. Period.
The GTR looks to be a beast. I cant wait to see it up close and personal.
