Exclamation Any California bay area guys here?

I know a lot of people in the bay area own 8's but is there any other ones out there like me who like to work on their own? I could use some trouble shooting help with a problem I got. I'm located right off highway 101 off the Ralston exit in Belmont. if you want to email me or call that would be great, maybe you could come by help. Thanks a lot

my engines making an angry lawn mower sound when its revved up. I changed all the coils spark plugs and wires recently and still have the problem after replacing all those parts. Thought it was a connection problem cause it's the engine making the noise but I checked it all about 20 times so far.

If you end up taking it somewhere, Rotorsport in Santa Clara is highly recommended.

You said when you "revved-up". If you mean when you are in gear as you are pushing threw the revs(not in neutral). There is the MIAC(Marbles In A Can)sound. It is the sound a Rotary makes when it is preigniting on a piston engine it's known as Pinging. What fuel do you use Reg-87 or Prem-91? You might benefit from a de-carbon treatment. Add a can of Sefoam, BGK44, Zoom(Mazdas has its own way of doing it below) to your fuel tank when it between 1/4 or 1/2 tank left and drive it hard so alot of fuel is washing over everything. Please give us the history on your car. The service it's had and parts replaced(good idea on what you have done already). Model year miles, type of driving it gets(long commutes), oil type and consumption, ever flooded, red lined. Just any thing that you can add.
You might have some carbon build up from a lot of short trips and not seeing the red line much.

2004 Grand Touring Manual, 71k miles. I've owned since Feb. so any maintenance prior to my ownership of the car is pretty much unkown. I use Premium 91octane gas. I just replaced the ignition coils, wires, and plugs. I drive spirited, redline at least once a day and most of it are on drives that are about 20minutes. I have taken it on a couple hour or so drives lately. any more tips?
