Any reason to not get an RX8?

NOT! (just edited, and changing my statement because
I just ran out three blocks to the Walgreens to pick up prescriptions for my flu, and in the drive got two thumbs up and the entire Walgreens pharmacy staff came to the window to check out my car.
So, go ahead and get rid of that "me too" car and join the elusive and exclusive club!

The only reason I can think of not to buy this car is if you hate getting loads of attention. Seriously, they're so "rare" that seemingly everyone is fascinated with them.
Good points about the car- Quiet, silky-smooth, comfortable, and very well-equipped. I wish I could've bought one a long time ago.

Another reason not to get the car is if you are the type who will have to start bying all the related merchandise. I just got a copy of the X-Men 2 DVD. (Guess what my favorite part of the movie was?)
Seriously, I can think of some reasons to look elsewhere:
-- If you need a major amount of trunk space. (Obviously you wouldn't be looking at this type of car if you did.)
-- If you are uncomfortable driving a car with no spare. (You can buy a spare tire kit, but there goes a big part of what trunk space you do have.)
-- You want it for a daily driver in snowy areas. It has low ground clearance, and the stock tires are undrivable in snow. (Of course, you can buy different tires.)
-- Or, if you've got to be like everybody else.

If you enjoy driving, get one and join us in the eternal smile club. If driving seems like a hassle, buy an econo box appliance and you'll be happier.
(Go on and hold the pod..... it won't hurt you.....)

I'm not sure if someone else has said this, but the only thing that really is frustrating is the lack of trunk space....
It's pretty hard to get a foursome to the golf course without having two bags on the laps of those in the rear seats.

A reason to NOT get an 8 is that you WILL become a RX8 snob and alienate those around you for being "simpletons who don't know the wonderful world of Wankel".
But seriously, you will become REALLY paranoid about where you park and who comes close to your car. ha ha. Well I'm sure you do that with the BMW, as well, so you're use to it already.

Go here and click on the Project Z link.

I designed the drive by wire controls that are in this car. I didn't have any influence on the choice of vehicles however otherwise it would have been a "Project 8" :D
I was just at the place that is doing the mods and these aren't the latest pics. They changed the door hinges and added some graphics. I hate to say it (the Z being the arch enemy of the 8) but it looks cool.
