Anybody elses stock Seats make Creeking sound

I've been noticing that when I sit in my drivers seat it makes a creeking sound and when I corner and shift my weight in the seat it creeks as well. ANybody have this problem. I hope Mazdas seats aren't gonna be cheap. I don't want a $34K car sounding worse than my old $20K car. I don't know if it matters but I don't have the power seats as I only got the touring package. So, This might not apply to those W/ the grand Touring package.

My leather seats also squeak .

Apparently MAZDA oz is aware of the squeak and it is easily rectified ,dealers i believe have been sent a bulletin on the problem and a solution to rectify it, i will get it looked at at my next service , no major dramma.

Yes the power seats (w/the GT) do SQEAK! Sqeaking started in mine about 6 weeks ago and it drives me NUTS! I feel like I'm in an old rocking chair.

When I take it in for the 1st checkup, that's top of my fixit list.

I have the touring package and my driver's seat was squeaking. When I took the car to the dealer for the first oil change I asked them to check into it - tighten all screws/bolts, etc. They did and the squeak is gone now.

Question

I have the non-powered seats and they squeak a lot when I take sharp corners. (Oh! Maybe I shouldn't take sharp corners).

Dealership told me that that creeking in the seats was normal and can't repair it. This sux Who do I bitch to at Mazda?

Edit:
This Sux my car is sounding like a $20,000 car and it's pissing me off. I mean I know they are'nt the power seats but still they should have some quality to them. Not to mention the other small things I've noticed including ratteling glove box, Squeeling brakes, Some metallic clank sound whenever I roll over the bumps in the road to mark off the lanes AKA Road Braille

You wouldn't happen to know what they did exactly would you coz I would rather check myself at this point to see if my my Service place is full of **** when they told me that this is normal. I'm gonna call mazda and see if they know anything aobut this as someone commented last night on how much my driver seat was squeeking when we were turning corners or something.

Yeah, right. All car seats squeak -- that's normal.

(cough) bullshit (cough)

I have manual, cloth seats. No squeaks here. It is NOT normal, as you can tell by some of the posts here that say their seats don't squeak - including me.

Take it to a different dealer.

Just searched the Squeking Seat thread and saw i'm not the only one!
I've lost 35lbs on the low carb so I know it's not my beer gut making my seat HURT!
I'll be taking mine to the dealer this week. All this began 30 days into ownership.

My 79 Scirocco didn't even Squeak!!!!

Its a common problem with UK cars.

Mazda doesnt seem to know how to fix it.

Us owners have tho. Least for a while. Undo the bolt at the front/tunnel side of the seat - add a washer (pref nylon - 10mm hole) and retighten.

Gets rid of it for a while.

weight

for those with creaking, non-power seats, how much do you all weigh? i weigh 150 and my seats dont creak. also, how fast do you take corners, i have taken them at about 37-40, still no creaking. is it the seat or the brakes? wasn't there a tsb about creaking/clicking from the front wheels?

The.Seat.Creaks.

Its caused by movement between the runners and the car, messing about with how its bolted to the car sorts the squeaking out.

I weigh 150/170llb or so (dont do imperial anymore, 75kg). When it happens it happens, getting into the seat, moving, cornering etc al.

Dealers just take the seat out, grease/tighten its joints up (smelly and useless) and bolt it back in. Of course this sorts the problem out for a while.

I dont think anyone has sorted it 100% yet, next time I'm going to grease the washer see if that help.

14mm socket/spanner needed for the bolts.

Yes, Same problem

I first noticed my seat squeeking about 1400 miles. I took it in and they took a new seat out of a new car and replaced it.
I have 2500 on it now and the squeeks are back. It happens when I get in the car and on corners. I have manual cloth seats. I even posted a thread about it a month or so ago.
