Anybody ever get busted for clear corners

In Canada, each individual province is responsible for setting up their own vehicle equipment regulations. And since BlueFrenzy is from Calgary, I'll just stick to Alberta.
I'm not too sure where or when you had this converstion with a police officer and exactly what was said but, in Alberta, you can have clear corners on your vehicle. Alberta's Vehicle Equipment Regulation only stipulates that the indicator light bulb emits a white or amber light that is visible from 250 metres (I think that's the right number).
If you really care, Alberta's legislation governing all things traffic used to be the Highway Traffic Act but switched to the Traffic Safety Act about three years ago and might be the cause of the confusion. So while certain things like clear corners might have been illegal three years ago, they aren't anymore.
But if a cop ever does pull you over for clear corner lights, I don't recommend getting into a pissing contest in the middle of the road. Just take it to court.
Sections 21 and 23 deal with turn signal standards.

So, enjoy your clear corners... :D

I wonder why they even need to be amber though, as it's not like they flash when you use the turn signal...so what's the big deal?
I've seen lots of cars that have NO lights on the side whatsoever...so why can't we have clear/white lights on the side?

Regarless, I'm not worried since most people don't notice (including police).

Yea, I think you can probably get by with stealth amber bulbs but it's much prettier with white LEDs.
Truemagellen my corners look just like yours (with the blue-ish hue). Looks great!

a friend of mine got pinched for having clear corners on his BMW in Seattle. it wasn't a case of him doing something illegal and getting hit with everything but the kitchen sink, THAT was why he got pulled over ...
some cops suck!
