If so, did you notice a significant difference?

Check this clip out. The answer is dont get a AT unless you don't mind the reduction in power.

someone should redo that clip with the new 6 speed AT vs manual - i'm sure they would be much closer .

I drove both when I had a test drive sadly the moronic salesman didnt point out to me that the 04' A/T only had a 4 speed and the one I was driving a 06 had the 6 speed. There is a difference you can feel. Its not night and day.. more like Night and dusk. If your only limited by A/T choice and not by money choose the 06 for the 6 speed will most likely have more fun.

I've already got a 4 speed AT. Just wondering if it is worth upgrading to the 6 speed AT. Doesn't sound like it would be worth the cost. I'm guessing I'd be better off spending the difference on FI.

it's certainly not worth the money to upgrade but might be to trade yours in or sell it and get the 6 speed (or MT - just throwing it out there).

I test drove the AT6 speed and it is a bit quicker than the AT4 speed. Unfortunately, I did not feel it was enough to make me trade up at this time. However, once the warranty is up on my 04 I'll probably trade it in on the 6 speed AT.
Keep in mind that my 8 is primarily used as a go to and from work car and a fun to drive weekend grocery runner. I would get the 8MT if I did not already have a moded FD ,and if I used the 8 more for spirited driving.

I have driven both and like the 6-spd far better. That said, I wouldn't upgrade just for that.
