Anyone else feel like the exhaust is popping when its very cold in the morning?

Obviously its that time of year. When we're all going to work and school in the morning, and its frigid outside and we have to sit in our cold cars. Not sure if it normal, but after I turn the car on, the idle is a little rough, but the exhaust seems like it keeps popping or making a gulping noise. Im assuming this is normal as the car only has 6k miles on it..? Thanks guys.

When it's freezing here in Miami (60F) in the morning, I do hear that, and I sense that as normal also..

Yeah Im so paranoid about the car. I put my intake in about 2 months ago. Ever since then, sometimes at idle, the car will dip down to 500ish RPM and seem like its going to stall, then catch itself..some say this is normal too and some dont. Any ideas? Dont think its my MAF. No CEL or anything either. Happens maybe 2x a day.

Get an aftermarket exhaust, then you really get some cool sounds. My car never popped until I got the exhaust.

my car was doing some weird things this morning. it was -5 degrees F. i started it up, and normally it warms up at about 2.5-3k rpm, but today it went to 4-4.5k, until i let go of the clutch. i thought that was weird. then every thing was stiff, like the clutch, the shifter, and the suspension was like a rock. i hate this cold weather, and so does my 8

Do you guys let it fully warm up? Or drive it to warm it up? I let it sit for about 30 seconds before I take off. The rotaries heat up quickly. Alot quicker then my S4 that I miss so much Miss that twin turbo =X

I think its from the Left over fuel in the pipes, that doesnt get burnt off in the chamber just sitting in the exhaust. i heard mine pop only when i cranked it in the morning but after the exhaust im snap, cracklin, Pop, pop, Poppin on every corner . i love that sound

Glad you asked this question since I was also wondering. Got the greddy sp2 and it burps, pops, car shakes a little. Figured it was okay but good to hear from others on this.
