Anyone in the first pre-order group not getting a car in the first two shipments?
I have the first pre-order car at my dealership and my car is not in the first shipment, is that normal?
The car is gray with cloth and sport suspension (no other options).
Anyone else?

Just curious...how are you guys checking to see if your cars are or are not on the boat? Since they supposedly just left Friday and Saturday from Japan. I'd love to know if mine was on the way for sure...

The dealer gets the VIN and other information and passes it on to the customer.
My dealer told me that they got VINs on the first shipment three weeks ago and mine wasn't on the list.

normally allocation means shipment. for example, say ur dealer is getting 5 cars in the first allocation, that means they will get 5 cars in the first shipment(all 5 cars arrive on the same truck at the same time). however i think it could be different for some dealerships.
my dealer is getting 8 cars in the first allocation and all 8 cars will arrive at the same time.

I talked with the dealer yesterday. I am supposedly in the first pre-order group (order placed 15Jan), got my VIN on the 23rd of May with a "TBD" production date. As of yesterday, it is now "Factory." The dealer has 3 "pre-order" cars along with their allotment cars. He said Mazda informed them last week that production was almost a month behind and all they could expect to get first (in July) would be the pre-order cars and maybe one for demo. He said the word "Shipped" should replace "Factory" next week. I ordered Nordic Green.
...Monday, June 2
The dealer called this afternoon to tell me the car is now "on the water!" He said it was loaded on to a ship this weekend. Because of a possible Teamster workaction they can not confirm that the car will get here any earlier than the third week of July.

Thanks, Pam- I was about to have a fit- where did the rumor that the green cars would be delayed come from? It better not be, after all this waiting! My dealer still hasn't called me back about my vin, and I've been waiting on him a week now. ARGH.
