Anyone flood after having M-flash?
I got my M flash yesterday and was wondering how effective it is to preventing floods. Anyone here flooded their Renesis with the M-flash? I know it isn't 100% certain that it won't flood, but wondering if its effective at all.

did you have any problems in getting the flash installed from the dealer? I have yet to take mine in, but will have it done on first oil change, which is coming up. No charge right?

Bring a print out of the TSB with you and highlight the sentence saying that everyone should have it done- it's pretty much buried in the middle of the first page. They don't read it carefully since the TSB itself is actually about the fix for no start problems. Mazda really ought to put out a separate "heads up everyone needs this" TSB. (anyone from Mazda listening???)

Here's the link to the bulletin. Print it out and bring it to your dealer. They have to do it, if not point them to the middle of the paragraph where it says they have to do it even if you bring the car in for issues unrelated to flooding/crank no start.
I brought my car in and they were saying all this **** like its a bulletin its not a recall. Its not mandatory if you don't have a problem with flooding. I just shoved this document in their face and pointed to the highlighted portion. They shut up, and did the flash heh.

Re: Anyone flood after having M-flash?
I did not get flooded before the M reflash; and I have not flooded it since the M reflash. I am sure it won't flood if I follow what the manual says.

I think it helped Maurice's car a lot. He has flooded before a lot. Especially in winter. Hasn't flooded yet since the flash, but it hasn't been a long time yet either.
