Anyone had dramas with headlights?

My left front headlight was goin off everynow an then. Put in to mazda, and was found that the tip of the globe and plug where they connect was melted.

Claiming it had a bad connection, so inturn kept arcing out or wateva.

This being the pain in the ***, even though i was there when the plug was seperated from the loom, they've told me they cant just order a new plug.
You can only get the plug that the globe sits in by ordering the loom to it.
If this wasnt under warranty ive been told Cost price is $2038 dollars.

Isnt this rediculous, i feel for those that no longer have warranty and have this problem. After all ive had my car for a year now it only jus started happening.

so anyone else come across this?

wow 2000 bucks... is that for real? That sounds so retarded imo. So you have it covered under warranty?

Yes correct, the globe sits IN this plug.
I was actually in the work shop an unclippedd this myself from the 2 wires Red and White i think.. I was happy i could seperate this so easy and just order another one.

But then i get a call from my dealer saying that they had to order it with the loom that feeds off the plug, because you couldnt just order the plug that the globe sits in!!

Anyone out there know something my dealership dosnt????

yes its covered by warranty...

Thumbs down

I have been having a problem with my drivers side head light. I have the HID's (low beam) and the drivers side blinks (white, yellow, white yellow) all the time when I'm driving. Its very easy to see if your behind someone withe the lights reflecting of of the other car.

The dealer replaced the bulb first, then the whole head light. Neither fixed the problem. I took it back and now they are saying that its normal operation. Why would only the drivers side do it and how is this NORMAL.

Does anyone else have this problem? Go check your lights if you have HID's. It only does it if your driving.

They must have taken a page from the Bill Gates manual.

It's not a bug - It's a feature..
