Anyone have a good solution to where to put a phone?
I have a blackberry, and for a few reasons I want a better spot to put it while I drive, than in my cupholder. I can't do my pocket because it's a hazard for me to reach and answer it if it rings or something, I have to move around and wouldn't have my eyes on the road.
I don't want a little clip that goes on the dash like I have seen for some people, thinking maybe using the ash tray, or whatever you want to call that thing to the left of the driver that folds down.

I but my Blackberry Bold in the ashtray. It doesn't rattle around and it's deep enough to not interfere with shifting. I believe the change holder on the left is too small for most phones, let alone something hunky like a blackberry.

while on the topic of phone mounts, if you have an iphone, the zCover's have a windshield mount available:

* Features: Multi dimension rotary.

Looks like they make cases for other phones too, blackberry included:

So you can use the windshield mount on it too.

I put my phone right behind and between the shifter and the parking break. Okay not great, but it stays put in normal driving. I guess I could get one of those friction mats, but no biggie for me.

I put mine in my pocket. If you get in a crash, where would your phone go? Would you be able to find it easily? It shouldn't really ever leave your pocket, unless you find yourself in one awkward position!
