Anyone on here have a Racing Beat Rev8 exhaust?
My plan is to pick up a new exhaust for my 8 in the next week or so. I'm looking for a little deeper sound, but I am not looking for a ricer note. Something classy but noticeable in the vehicle (I don't want to be heard a mile away)
I heard the Rev8 was one of the best sounding exhausts out there. Anyone have a Rev8 exhaust? Can anyone post an audio link of the Rev8 in action? Any other exhausts that qualify for what I am looking for?
Thanks.

attempted search, no posts of the sound that I could locate.
Most people on here talk about the greddy, borla, etc exhaust. Not too many posts about the rev8.
Clearly, some people have it. But unless it's asked, it's not a definite that any active posters have one. Hence, no posts from any posters who have it installed yet.

of all the exhausts i have heard the borla and the racing beat win.. they sound very nice and are not overly loud.
well, i also love the sound of the hymee, but i have never driven a car that had one. so day to day life is unknown...
i would really try to find some local to get a ride with. that is the only real answer, sound clips do help figuring out tone. but that is only half of the story.

That sounds awesome. Exactly the type of sound I am looking for. I'm definitely picking one up!
Thanks for the link, DarkBrew. Just bookmarked that video.

The important thing about an aftermarket exhaust is how it sounds in top gear at about 65 mph. Does it drone? Is it intrusive? Can you live with it on a long trip? I bought my both my Borlas for those reasons A couple of Pep Boy fart cans will sound great while you accelerate, but could drive you up the wall at 65 for a couple of hours. Life is about balance!

I heard the racing beat was a very good exhaust also and borla....I have the OBX one everyone was afraid to try and I really like it sounds quiet at idle but at WOT screams pretty good

That rules out the borla for me....
I'm not looking for anything too deep. I don't want to be heard from a mile away, and I don't like the loud droning sound in the car. Any ricer civic with a $50 muffler from pep boys can have a muffler than can wake up the neighbors, and I tend to think the 8 is far classier to ever be considered a "ricer car".
Racing Beat Rev8 it is! Sounds great, like the way the 8 should have originally sounded/looked when it was made. 4" tips fill up the holes on the rear bumper nicely, the stock mufflers tips look like pea shooters sticking out the back. I hate the way the stock looks. IMO, looks ridiculous....

Two completely different sounds, I'm just a bigger fan of the Rev8....it's more what I want my 8 to sound like. To each his own.

I've had my Borla on for 50,000 highway miles, I have never had any drone, and I love it. The RB is a great exhaust, but it is quite a bit quieter. The Borla has a nice low rumble to it and is not that loud if you're just driving easy, but is loud (in a good way) when you get on it. The only negative thing I've heard from RB owners is that they wish it was a bit louder...and that's a big deal since we're obviously buying these things mostly for the sound. Good luck.
