And we are all getting off topic here, this was meant to be a story of how i bought a used rx-8 that has been falling apart. Then you guys came and brought in unrelated **** like aparently i dont know how to drive ( i am curious where that one came from ), I am a "troll" when every post i have ever started here (except for this one, and my civic story) has been a legitemit question, and apparently jones cant read all that well or he would know in my last thread i did not get owned. I stated before that i could not pull away from him like you would expect. And he was still behind me when i got on the highway. I did not bring a bike into the mix, you guys did when you made a compent about how easy riding a bike at speed in a corner is. So if you dont have anything to contibute to the original topic and this thread pisses you off shut the **** up and let it die then.

I love my eight and i wouldn't change it for anything lol. Obviously you have had a lot of bad experiences much like many other ppl on this forums.

Im sorry but I think I know how to drive way better than you, at least I've never got owned by Civic.

Turning DSC off does not mean I will endanger people on the road, DSC exist because it helps to correct certain stupid habbits that a lot of morons like you will do everyday. but it cannot fix stupidly completely. and afterall its STILL a computer program running in a sets of preprogrammed rules.

if u have fast reaction a DSC will only slow you down, And thats my case. and I already said sometimes I just leave it on cuz its a pain to turn it off everytime I drive, or GF sits in the car.

thanks for all the inpute but i dont really care, this is not meant for someone who already has one... I just wanted to get this out there so next time someone searches for lemon 8's and what can happen to the car they will see what happened to my car, and thanks for all the input you guys have kept this thread up for a while now.

OK, your car is not a lemon. It was poorly maintained, sheesh, learn the difference. Be a little more cynical is purchasing a used car next time. There is a reason people buy new cars knowing it will depreciate $2000 dollars once it is driven around the corner. The risk you took was you decision, no one forced you to. You got unlucky. Everyone is telling you to take the loss. Do it, it will only depreciate more for a car that you obviously dislike. Let it go like a bad girlfriend and move on.

Bought my 05 RX-8 from someone whom I KNEW maintained his car properly. He raced the damned car, and I race it too. Only difference is he was the president of the campus car club, so I know he knows his ****.

Guess what? I've not had a single problem with this car. Ever. Not a peep. I keep up on maintenance. I check my oil every week, and fill up before every race. I am also going to change the spark plugs soon.

Did I mention I redline this thing every week or so?

Yup. I drive my 8 hard. No problems whatsoever.

EDIT: Oh, and I shift at 5000rpm for daily driving. **** gas mileage. Car's fun to drive the way it is.
