Anyone not get thier recall letter yet?

I live in Virginia, and am 6 feet even.
I got the warranty letter a while ago. I have not received the recall letter. A couple of days ago I gor a bright orange postcard from my dealer (the one I bought the car from) scolding me for not responding to the recall, and telling me to call for an appointment ASAP.
I think I'll call and ask "What recall?" I'll eventually schedule it for next week, or maybe the week after. I just washed it, so the free wash won't do me any good this week. And I need to time it so the tank is nearly empty.

Don't know if it's true, but that's what they said!

They lied to you. I live in VA and I never got the letter. I just went down to my local dealer and they scheduled me for today. As a matter of fact the service advisor said they started about two weeks ago.

Waranty letter, no recall either 06 Shinka w a build date of April 06, wonder if they had done the recall before delivering the car (Aug 06) but I doubt it...hmmm
I'm just at 2000 miles, so I'll just ask about it when I go in for my first (free) oil change.

Not all 06 is affected.
They're sending letters to *hot* area first. then slowly moving it up north.
I was at the dealership today, they know about the recall but not ready for it yet. So ....

****You do not need the letter to have the recall performed****
Had mine done today. Everything checked out fine but I was puzzled to see that my invoice said my plugs were changed on 7/5/06. I bought my car on 6/03/06 and never had it in for service til now. I called the service advisor and he told me it was probably done in June but logged into their system in July. May be true but still strange to me.

i have recieved the letter of warrenty extinsion. and last week i recieved an automated call saying that i must call my dealer and schedual an appointment for an engine recall.
Here is the delema, tyson's corner said that they dont order new engines. Infact they take the engine out clean some pipe that might have deposits and put the same engine back on.
While arlington said that they have replaced lots of engines, the only thins is that one of the service advisors seemed soooooo rude. i need to change the front rotors + brake pads + change transmission/ diif oil and do oil change. i also want them to fix the clutch NOISE that comes out when ideling. so what do you guys think i should do?

I haven't got the letter either, but that didn't stop me from going into the dealer this week. No problems with the car (wasn't expecting any). Replaced pugs, flashed computer, gas and wash.

The dealer said that since they're a franchise, they have nothing to do with when Mazda sends letters out, but they get informed of recalls for the cars they've sold.
I did get the extended warranty letter a while back - didn't keep track of the date, but it was pretty much when everyone started receiving them.
I'm also on the east coast, and I thought I saw a post here saying east coast letters would go out in mid-October.

-never got a dealership postcard (don't expect, Santa Monica Mazda Lincoln Mercury Suburu dropped Mazda a few months ago. Knowing them, they probably dropped my service record too)
-never got a recall letter from Mazda.
-never got a extended warrantly letter from Mazda.
Wondering if this is because I already have a 10/100 extended warranty, which I paid extra for with the car purchase???? Maybe their only concerned about preventing class action suit from buyers who's warranty has already or will be expiring?
