The turbo lag sucked on it and it didn't feel as tossiable as my Max, which lead me to believe, if i was going to get another sports sedan, i wanted to step up a notch a.k.a BMW M5, not be on the same level or slightly below my Maxima.
Then test drove the 8, the rest was history......
Even though the 8 maybe Mazda's halo car, its not there bread and butter maker, the 8 is more of a niche car.Just like most manufactures who have sports cars under the belt. So Mazda would be wise to keep the 3 and 6 revised and fresh so they can keep generating money. They may give the 8 a mild refresh, a bump in Hp , but don't expect any earth shattering changes to it.

...with proper tires, of course...wheel spin is gonna be a bitch

The lighter MS3 will undoubtedly be more enjoyable, but the engine/turbo as used in the MS6 has no top-end, isn't that responsive, and revs slow. And the MS3 is FWD, so why are we even discussing it?
Help us Mazda Kabura, you're our only hope.

if that happens i will mail you a 100 dollar check and go trade in the rx8(dont whine about the cars handling, drive a regular mazda 3 hatch and you will get the socks knocked off of you, it handles crazy good)

I don't know if this has been rumored before but check out this load of crap (nice dream though)...
I was down at the dealer last week and the regional rep was there from MNAO. I had asked if they would warranty a turbo install. The rep told the service manager to let me know to wait. The car is in concept but its a 450hp turbo RX8. Of course I didn't believe it, but they said it was going to be shown either fall of 2006 or early 2007. I'll believe it when I see it.
I'm calling on the rep from Mazda and a bigger on myself for fowarding this on to you.

Yeah, I find that really, really hard to believe. I don't really know how he or Mazda benefits from telling you to wait if it's a load of crap. It's only going to cannibalize sales from the current 8 and will **** people off royally if it turns out to be false. Not saying this makes it any more true, but it just makes me wonder what that guy was thinking.
