Anyone use Spikes Spider on their 8?

Anyone use Spikes Spider on their 8?
just wondering. Although I do not plan to drive in snow, you never know wheb you get caught in NJ. I wonder if they work and whether they will scratch wheels. Thanx

they are a new type of chain....i think they are plastic...web site: www.spikes-spider.com. some people are sellin em cheap on E-Bay

A coworker of mine used to have them on his Acura Legend, he swore by them. They seem like a good idea. There are two dealers in the US, both with the same pricing online. The other one besides the one Yeller8 mentioned is www.spike-spider.com (no 's' after 'spike').

If I had to deal with hills or mountains in the winter, this would be great. I've heard that tire chains are illegal in Chicago, but I wonder if these would pass...?
