Appoint. to get windows tinted tomorrow... anything i need to know?

I know the rx8 has the antenna built into the glas in the rear. Is there any issues with tinting all the windows ont he rx8? Can anything interfere with the antena, or go wrong? or is it as simple as other cars?

thanks

don't get metalic tint if you have navi.

make sure they do the rear window in one piece of tint, and not 2-3.

I have HuperOptik Ceramic, and it cuts down on solar heating pretty well.

HuperOptik is only good if you don't mind higher costs (usually 2-3x more than traditional tints) and the fact that the tint isn't as dark. It's useful for those with navi since it's ceramic instead of metal, and isn't going to fade.

I have HP true gray (which is black), see my sig for pics.

http://www.llumar.com/na-eng/Automotive/auto.html i just put Llumar CENTAUR tints 18% all around. It is slightly metallic but has awesome heat reduction. Any good installer should be able to get the back window in 1 piece.

I'm worried that my rear window is not clean enough yet. I'm still fighting the de-gassing of the vinyl I guess. I have been putting off the tint until I know that sucka is clean. Any ideas on that problem?

the tint people will clean off the windows. They'll remove any stickers on them too. I don't think it will be a problem.

Tinters are very thorough about cleaning the windows. Preparation is key. Don't worry about anything accept looking over the tint to make sure it is laying flat. Bubbles occur, and sometimes, after a couple days, they are easy to get rid of...... sometimes not. I got 3% all the way around, and 10% on the whole windshield. My brother has been tiniting for 13 years. Don't be scared to inspect the job you paid good money for.

cool thanks guys. Ive had several cars tinted over the years, but i didnt know if with that built in antenna, if tinting the rx8 would be difficult or worrisome.

MD legal tint is 35%. i know thats not to dark, but i dont want to get hassled by cops over it either. Thoughts?

Guys-I know no one here speeds! Metalic tint will make radar detectors less effective or inoperative. Not that anyone cars.......
