I usually upshifted around 3-4k. Pretty much the same as a typical v6 or powerful 4 cyl

Yeah i meant bring to revs up 2K when your starting off in first and slowly let off clutch.

Rotaries loved to be revved so it doesn't hurt while you are driving if you wanted to shift a higher RPM.
