axle??.or.rim??

so tonight i was on my way home from work, and while taking a sharp turn i ended up hitting a corner with my right rear tire, i stop to check it out and everything seemed ok. after getting back in the car and driving off i notice that the car was really unstable and when i would go over a bump the rear seemed to jump to the left...any way i got home and looked at the rear wheel whith more light and i saw that the wheel looked really out of line, it was pointing in towards whe inner side of the wall, i took the rim of and it does seemed to be bend where i could see the big hit the rim took but im afraid that i could be my axle...i wasnt able to get a pic of the rim facing in but ... what are the chances of beeing the rim and not the axle??? if its just the rim i wont be as pissed but if its the axle i wont be able to fix it for a while, i hear thats an expensive fix, i will deffenetly post more pics of the rim and how it looks but im just worried about the situation...any help would be greatly appreciated.

Take it in for an alignment. I doubt you bent an axle, but you could have bent one of the suspension pieces. Chance are it's just knocked out of alignment and will be an easy fix.

you can pick up a used oem rim for $100 on the forums.

dont put jack stands there. if the scissor jack for some reason fails, the jack stand will go bend all the metal in that area. if not go into the car. no good if you are under the car.

use the body frame. its about 8-12" in, on the bottom of the car. you will know it when you see it. it looks like 2x4s running underneath the car.

replace control arm .. get a wheel alignment. problem solved. As for the rim ... you can get it repaired ... or send out a wtb: stock rim in the parts section.
