Back to the Forum After 4 year Hiatus
Just wanted to drop in and say hello again to all you RX8ters
I had trouble using my old user name and password. I suppose I was dropped off the board after being gone for so long. Doesn't matter, no one likely remembers who the hell I am anyway.
I purchased an RX8 back in 2005 and only had it for about a year or so. That's usually about how long a car lasts with me before I trade it off. I had a lot of fun and still remember how great it handled. I could whip that damn thing around a 35 mph curve at 90 mph without even squealing the tires or crossing the center line. Of course, I was single, had no kids, and was full of **** and vinegar then too. But it was still fun regardless.....and it is even more fun to remember. I only had it one month before I wrecked it one icy January morning on my way to college. It was repaired within a couple weeks and I was terrorizing the streets once again. I decided to trade it in on a truck one day because it wasn't practical enough for my needs (i.e. hauling ****).
Anywho, now that I'm done with my boring *** story I will explain why I am back. I have decided to get another RX8. My wife is going to let me trade her car in for one. There wasn't much convincing on my part due to the fact that she will now get to drive my Hummer instead of her crappy Cobalt. I have decided on an RX8 because........well, it's a bad *** car for the money. I am stoked about getting back into the driver seat of one. I'm actually heading to St. Louis on Friday to look at one. I found a red 2005 6-speed manual RX8 with navigation and the appearance package for $14,995. And it only has 20,944 miles!!! I am sure I will get them to come off the price some too.
Gotta go, see you folks later.
