Bad day at the car wash

Bad day at the car wash
Ok, so it was one of those days. It was going good with a little sun out, I went and got my little one and headed off for the car wash. When we started into the car wash I heard a loud noise and just thought I bumped out of the rollers. Well when I got out and started to clean my rims, my buddy called to tell me when the mazda meet was and then I saw it. One of the blue fingers in the car wash caught on my trunk and pried it up about 6 inches and I was like wtf? So, with no luck opening it, I drove down to my Mom's and got some of the stuff out of it, which was soaked and then got it to open. After a lot of thought I got a hammer and bent the hinges back into place. So, after a little elbow grease I got it to kind of close and made a call to Trusvill Mazda and ordered the hinges. Which are about $65, definately cheaper than I thought.
I need to know the body gaps so I can line the trunk lid back up. I would also like to see a picture of someones hinges so I can try and bend mine back a little better so the trunk will close all the way because I won't get the new ones for a week and a half. Here are some pics so you can see what happened. Needless to say I am either going to wash my car on my own from now on or stick with touchless, I would advise this to anyone also.

Yes, the kind that push you through. Yes, it is the mazda speed wing, but it did not catch on the spoiler, it caught on the front corner of the trunk near the back window and the part that sucks is that I've gone through it at least 10 times with my ms wing on.

i got some bad news for you the passenger side of the wing is cracked.
more bad new if drove into a carwash with that wing you should not be allowed to drive.
sorry to be harsh. but what did you think would happen. magic spoiler trolls to protect you.
beers

Well like I said I have gone through it a couple of times and never had problems and my spoiler was not what got caught, it was the the lip of my trunk, and yes it is going to be hand washed from now on. I am going to buy a nice pressure washer today, but now that you all have had your fun could someone please help me with what I asked for?

Dudeeee, your going from a machine carwash to a pressure washer? Write my name in the clearcoat for me. Seriously though, you don't need a pressure washer, good ole hose and sponge is all. The only thing I would pressure wash if anything would be the wheel wells and undercarriage.

Pressure wash is ok, just don't get too close.
Think about it, pressure wash is similar to driving on the highway when it's raining. Don't believe me? Stick your hand out the window when it's raining and you’re going 70mph, ouch!

holy **** blue! bummer that happened to you but honestly: you should have known better then go into one of those 'drive thru' car washes.
Do they have any 100% hand wash car washes near you? (you'll get swirl marks in the long run thanks to the shitty towels) but even that would be better at this point. OR How about one of those "self car washes" The soap is pretty harsh and might strip off your wax but at least it won't damage the car.
Just some thoughts. Oh, and I'd avoid pressure washing your car every time. The paint that mazda used is quite 'soft' and I don't think it would like that constant pressure on it.
