Battery Question?

did a search and didnt get a straight answer...havent used car in a month...need to use friday!


what is the best car battery


optimum sounds good (expensive)


is it worth it or just a name thanks

My experince with them is i believe the yellow top i had issues with but the red top winded up being the best long lasting with top performance

I like oddyssey, I have their 16lb 680pulse cranking model and it has never failed me, even driving in the single digit weather here in omaha over the past month.

That's only if you want to eace your car.

You don't need a light weight battery for the street.


any battery will be good as long as it has at least a 500 CC amp.

just get the top-of-the-line model from your favorite brand (Interstate, Die Hard, NAPA Gold, etc) and you're good to go.

Exactly. The important factors are size and shape (so it fits properly), matching the CCA spec, and maintenance free. Maintenance free is important because, among other things, checking the electrolyte level gets to be a nuisance and can damage your clothing.
