Best pulleys to get?

I left "The D" last August, moved to Phoenix to start BHR, and have had no regrets since. Like you, I came to the RX-8 from a paradigm of "Old School" muscle. I can say that each kind of car has it's pros and cons but I am really finding myself appreciating the nuances the RX-8 has to offer. Even when I was still in Detroit I had no problem turning heads nor keeping up with the alleged "Kings of the Street" (as far as daily-drivers go, anyway). If you ever need advice/guidance without the sarcasm PM me and I am happy guide you along.
Muscle is one thing but 1 g-force is quite another.

To the OP, there really is some awesome information here on the forum, make sure to check it out. Having come from muscle cars to the RX-8, I think you will really enjoy the car, I know I have.
