Big Decision, opinions needed!!!

My suggestion from an nonbias view these two cars are as opposite as two sport cars can be. One cost more and resales for more. It has more low end and top end speed at any speed, it handles well and corners better then most normal drivers can take it to its limits. It is the basic of what most budget sports cars used to be judged. It requires less maintenance then the RX-8. But probably will go through tires and brakes sooner if you drive it hard. Its interior is not as nice as the RX-8 and its only a 2 seat sports car.
The RX-8 is a cross between a sedan and a Sports car its very smooth and innovative. It has one of the best 6 speed transmission made along with Honda and BMW. Its equiped with nice ext & interior amenities. It has the smooth running and high reveving Wankel rotary engine. It corners better then the 350Z, you really have to work to get the rearend to break loose. So its easy to drive fast in the twiistes. Its one of the best looking sport cars available at this price range behind the Cayman and 350z in my opinion. Cons You have to check the oil every 1k-3k miles, It doesn't get the best Mpg for such a light car 17-23 on average, you can't start it move it a short distance and restart it again because it floods. You have to blip the throttle for a couple times. In 6 speed the RX-8 is a viable option if comparing the 350z and the Rx-8, but if you go Automatic there is no option the AT 350Z is still a Sports Car 0-60 in less the 6 seconds, 0-100 in less the 13.7 sec. limited to 155mph. The Rx-8 in AT is a tourer 0-60 in 7.5-8.0 seconds, 0-100 in 18 sec, limited 110-125mph it still fun in the corners but it takes a while to get up to speed. It still has the practicaility of a smal sedan so if its the look you want the AT RX-8 will work.
Going by the magazines the RX-8 6 spd is the new standard of what a sports car could be, (look at the new more practical STI) except when compared with Bmw or Porsches/old world standards.
Still this is only my opinion. But you will see if you buy AT RX-8 unless you just like the looks of the car and can't drive standard. Don't buy the AT.
Get a 6spd Rx-8 or get a 350Z AT or 6s spd, or just keep saving for a M3 or Cayman.
