Which do you prefer on a black RX-8?

Black & Red... I have that on my BB 8 and love it... the red black and silver trimming of the interior is just beautiful.

I have black/red and wish it was just black. Possible to trade interiors?

 

You can have it re-apholstered at an apholstery shop. That's what I did. I had it changed to black and white. Only issue was they were unable to do the steering wheel One of these days I'll find someone able to do it so it matches the rest of the interior.

 

Had to go with black. I think it just looks better on this car. IMO, a 2 tone steering wheel looks a bit off

 

In a black 8, black without the red is just too much black, IMHO. The red serves as a nice accent to break it up a little. Plus it's classic looking, echoing sports cars of the 1950's.

 

My car is BB. I have no problem with retro/old school/classic but I still prefer it to be one color or a lighter shade of black or dark grey to provide some contrast.

 

Black and Red The red brightens the interior. I've received numerous positive comments about the color combo.

 

Voted black and red......seeems to be a very unique trait to the RX-8. Not many sports cars this price range have the two tone combo. esp for black, it would look pretty cool.

 

I saw something that may work for you. it was on japanparts.com site. it is called a steering wheel wrap. makes the wheel thicker but from what i can see it will change the colour to black. Didn't pay much attention but it is worth checking out it was made by aute exe

 

The red accents in the interior really helps to brighten up the black on black.

 

black on black....the red and black interior just looks a bit loud to me...when i was buying my 8, i saw the red and black interior from the photos and i thought it looked fantastic, but in person i wasnt too impressed...

the 06's and on supposedly have fully-wrapped leather seats- as opposed to the silver plastic backs that the 05's and earlier had. i think the new seats make the red & black look that much sexier, but beauty is in the eyes of the beholder...

Definitely one of the reasons I chose the car...Black and Red look great.

In Canada we can't choose our interior colour.

 

To each thier own. The red & black looked like a recycled circus tent to me. The important thing is its striking enough to comment on. Different is good in high profile cars.

 

I seem to be in the minority here... The red is nice but too brassy for my tastes.
Nothing beats the clean, cool professionalism of an all-black leather interior.
