It cost in the $800 - $900 range..been awhile don't remember the exact cost. That included the seats and all trim panels. i don't have any pics right now, but I see about taking a couple tomorrow and posting them for you.

 

My 8 has the Velocity Red exterior paint. I opted for the all-black interior because of the two-tone steering wheel, otherwise I would have gotten the black and red.

I just can't deal with a two-tone leather wheel.

I have a BB with the black and red interior and it livens it up and doesn't make it so dark and monotonous.

I actually wish the red was a couple shades darker and not quite so bright.

 

Red is good, but it is becoming used up in the 30K market with other cars doing the same thing. Yes, too many starting to copy the Spider-Man colors.

To have it redone, I'd get everything covered in blue leather, dash and all if possible. That's my escape route if need be.

 

Other, man. Other all the way. Other is my favorite color!

 

Full black. it's really the only way to go... the red/black is too "in your face" on a black car. red/black only works on red.

 

The red/black is pretty good, but the red seemed a little too bright. Looks really good on a VR. I have a BB with the black/tan interior, it looks pretty nice, not too in-your-face

At least Mazda has the good sense not to put the red on the dashboard or the carpet or mats.

I have a silver and went with the black interior, but with a black RX8, I'd say black & red would break up the monotony of all black everywhere.

I went with black/red. maybe someday I will go to an upholstery shop and look to get a darker red.. like some of the ferrari interiors.. that or the rich tan color that you sometimes seen in a Ferrari Scagletti.
as for now, i want to figure out how to cover up the silver back of the front seats... would look so much better if i could cover that black.. maybe i will just paint it

 

LOL! My car came red/black mats. Thankfully it also came with solid black mats as well! I use both of the rear red/black mats in the trunk well for my golf stuff (i.e. shoes, tees and etc).

 

The black/red is nice to look at and is definatley flossy. But I've had colored leather before and it is really hard to keep clean. For example, if you wear jeans alot (which I do) some blue'ish color will start appearing on the seats. I'm sure baby wipes, etc. will take it out but it's just one more thing to keep "spotless." Can't really go wrong with all black...

 

Red and black livens up the appearance with a silver exterior. Seems a bit much with the red exterior.
