Blue 8 vs Flying Plastic Bumper Cover

I don't have pictures yet because it's raining, but yesterday I was going to see Nacho Libre and while on the highway the early 90's late 80's Civic in front of me either drove over a bumper cover, or part of its cover fell off, but its rear tires kicked it up and it cracked my grill, cracked the passenger side fog light and knocked it a little loose, scratched up my passenger side rim, and put a dent on that wheel well. It hasn't been on the lift yet so I don't know if there's any undercarige damage yet. I took it in for an estimate this morning, since I had to go by the Mazda body shop for work anyway, and it came to just over $2500 worth of damage ($500 being a new rim). I checked it a couple of times to make sure it was still blue and not silver, but I guess she just wanted to be silver for a day. What sucks is I just got a $250 bonus at work, and now before I could think of anything to spend it on I have to use it to pay my deductible. At least it makes it easier to take the hit.

Unhappy

i think he's paying the $250 deductible no matter where he buys the rim or how expensive it is.

sorry to hear about your bad luck. something simnilar happened to me a few weeks ago. it was dark out so i had to check in the morning, but i was LUCKY to find no damage at all. thought for sure i'd have at least a small scratch.

What I don't get is, I drove home to Illinois for a week to see my cousin graduate - no damage, I drove to Chicago (in a rental car) to see Formula D - no damage, I saw Tokyo Drift opening night with all the crazy youngsters - no damage, I drive to Indiana for Hot Import nights - no damage, yet I do something completly routiene and of course that's when I get hit.

I liked it, but I'm finding several Jack Black fans didn't. Everyone in the theatre was cracking up with me though.

yea, go figure, its like the shorter the trip the bigger the risk. Hell we'll have to get a cincy meet together once you get her fixed back up.
