blue interior lights with green footwells?
Hello
So at the moment I have the blue interior lights from rx8strakes.com that just replace the dome and door lights.
I was thinking about getting the footwell kit, but don't necessarily want blue.
Has anyone here ever tried mixing colors?
if so how'd it look?
Pictures?

Check in this thread.......there might be pics.
Rodger doesn't do these anymore, but you may find pics of what you are after.

I would only do green if I had a nordic green and I would do everything green -- everything as in parking, corners, glove, trunk, license plate, footwell, dome, map, doors, puddle, kitchen sink

Just out of curiosity. Have any of you guys wired the footwell lights to go on with parking lights or anything other than going on with the door lights?
I ask because I wonder is it distracting or annoying to have the blue glow?
Or is it not that noticeable when you are driving or riding in the case of the passenger?

I think I am going to buy the blue foot lights from rx8strakes.
Then I might buy the green replacement LED's from their parent company.
If I do, I'll be sure to post pictures.
I most likely will buy the green because it is like $10 so if I don't like them.... no biggie.

In fact, I've recently started switching the gauge illumination from the white light to the soft red/blue, and turning it down until it's just noticeable. You'll be AMAZED how much more you take in on your view outside of the car when you take away any pupil-constricting light sources inside the car. Try it if you haven't! Of course, in the city it doesn't really matter I suppose; bling all you want.

Rotary Powered Countryboy
Alexb....I don't have them in this car...it was on my old eclipse GSX they were just Neon tubes (i think 9 inches) and got power from my cigarette lighter and wired them to a switch...
I'm not sure about how the rx8strakes ones are but if there is wires to b hooked up a switch can b installed....just take the power from whatever source you are going to use...then that wire to the in of the switch then another from the out of the switch to the lights and ground the lights on the other end of the circuit....
very basic things...just make sure wheverver u get power from if u are going to tap into a circuit make sure it can handle the extra amperage load

I have Rotary Rasp's hooked up to the dome lights. No need to have extra lights on inside the car at night...

Agreed....I was totally going for coolness. The 8 is not my DD and I usually drive it in the city, so not too big a deal. But I am now considering adding a switch to have that option available. Rotary Rasp's lights are very cool though and much brighter than I expected.
Anybody have pics of these LEDs from RX8strakes? Wondering if they are as bright too!
